Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and every year new high schools in Illinois form teams. Unfortunately recruiting of officials has not kept pace. -We need you!

Costs

  • Day-long clinic and on-field training: $50 "includes Arbiter Fee" 
  • IHSA Membership $50
  • Uniform $60-$100 (Ref shirt, black running clothes, whistle, cards, flag)
  • US Lacrosse Membership $50
  • IWLUB Dues including Arbiter Fee "$53 for returning officials only"

 

Benefits

  • ~$60 per game or ~$110 for double header for in-season games
  • Ref as much or as little as you like (see "Officiate high school season," above)
  • Some refs work 10 games during the season, some work 70+ It's up to you!
  •  You won't need to go to the gym for 3 months out of the year, in a typical double-header you'll cover about 5 miles while running walking and sprinting
  • Meet new friends
  • If you're like most of us, you've benefited from organized sports at some point in your life. This is a great way to give back.
